Cala Comte sits on the west coast near San Antonio, a short drive from Cala Bassa and Cala Tarida. The beach is actually a string of small coves separated by rocky headlands, looking out towards two little islands, Illa des Bosc and Illa Sa Torreta. It's one of the classic places on Ibiza to watch the sun go down over the water, and several beach bars along the clifftop fill up in the last hour before sunset.
When to come for the best sunset
Sunset timing changes through the year – much earlier in winter, much later in high summer. Use the webcam to check the current light and cloud cover before you set off, rather than relying on a fixed time. On clear evenings with a westerly aspect, this is one of the few spots on the island where you watch the sun sink directly into the sea.
